How I know that I'm evil

music

Because I allowed people to create a violent war in Iraq. I murmured a bit, and then moved on with life and quotidian concerns.

If it's "not my job" to do something, and not your job, and not her job, and not his job, then who will do something? And who will do something when I am (or you are) the victim?

Good point - it's so easy to slip into abstractions and shrug

The sad thing, protesting didn't help, either. Alas. We are stuck with an idiot in the White House for a while longer. In any case, you are certainly not evil ;)

Do people hate leading so much that they leave it to folks like Bush?

The problem is that, as a collective, we THE PEOPLE have failed to be VIGILANT CITIZENS. Over the years, governments sensed this and now we're at their mercy. Time for another French-like REVOLUTION don't ya think.

I like this signature is Shiro's emails. It's absolutely spot on.

"Like me, you could...be unfortunate enough to stumble upon a silent war. The trouble is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And once you've seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. Either way, you're accountable." - Arundhati Roy

Caminante, no hay camino. Se hace camino al andar. - Antonio Machado "

It certainly makes a lot of sense to me. I haven't a clue what the Spanish text says in regards to walking. :-)
