My first drawings this year:

Above is a pencil drawing of a so-called hydrant, a rusty-metal affair in the median of Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, California.

The lower picture is a copy of the top one made in black ink with a regular writing pen.

Cool -- I like them. The so-called hydrants around here are usually flowing rusty water in the streets on hot days like today.

Graduation of students last night, so summertime is just around the corner. . . . . except that I'm already teaching summer classes at community college.

I bet you love teaching. Don't forget to soak up the sun too.
Thank you for commenting :)

I didn't know you could draw. But I guess
there are a lotta of things I didn't know
you can do (besides fuzzy logic n' math).

damn, you're good.

better than this freak of nature;

and...have fun. peace.

There's likely a big deal side to fuzzy logic, but I don't know that side.
However, the basic idea is not hard to accept, especially if you encounter it before your ideas get set in stone about logic being binary (0 or 1, on or off)
Anyway, now I'm reading the wikipedia article on Fuzzy Logic to check the basic ideas, you can too.

Thanks for pointing me to this chica's blog. Good stuff.

Hey, t. I'm close to burned out on teaching. Conferences are still worthwhile, but big classes are getting to me. A little sun does help ;)

Dear Erik,
Did somebody say...Sabbatical?

Erik Donald France said...

Summertime is good so far -- sabbatical sounds nice ;) When I wrote "conferences," I meant student-teacher conferences (clarifying). Happy summer -- It's really here!

I understood about Conferences, and yep, the summer is magic. My sister gave me "The Alchemist" and I just finished yesterday - it's a good one for connecting with magic.
