Whoooo are you?  Who who, who who?

Re: What mathematics will teach you - That depends on who you are.  I mean, you could be maximalist / flamboyant, such that ideas for minimization would not fit and mathematics would suggest something else (this something else I think of as cross products, right?, generating, multitudes from each single point, an explosion into diversity, instead of choosing/summarizing/optimizing/boring.)   Funny.

I Love Hue

The coloured tile puzzle game 'I Love Hue' is beautiful and truly a joy to love.  I've now done 900 puzzle layouts, with 55 to go.

Then there is Duolingo - oh wow, I'm in!  Working my way through one language now and it is so good.

What mathematics will teach you

The nature of answers:
I don't know is an answer, and so is I DON'T CARE.
Sometimes I have said I don't care as "it doesn't matter" which I suppose is more advanced statement, but could also sound like oh shut up it doesn't matter so instead of saying that I just probably might say nothing because I don't really mean shut up, I just mean, do you think this matters, because so far my sense of the thing is that it might be of little consequence but what do you think.

I don't know is a good answer.  It can be qualified, analyzed too, and thus yield a lot of information.

We don't care, I don't care, it doesn't matter, is often a good answer too, and I'm thinking now of Dr. Kim teaching us "don't care variables" in Digital Systems (Electrical Engineering) at Howard University.  But how do you say that to a person who doesn't interpret it that way, who doesn't translate technical language?  If they're, like, artistic, you might go with, oooh yeah, there are lotsa options!  That would probably be right.  Say, I agree.  Then go into more possibilities.   By the way, many artists develop the same sort of compact language as they get more technical or more advanced, so it all depends on how "old" they are, in this learning direction?

Now if they're also not artistic, do you say something like "fantastic!" and run away?  Yes?  No?  Sometimes?   I mean, that does lead to problems lol.  If it's not fantastic, you say fantastic.  If it is fantastic and you therefore want to look closer you don't say fantastic you ask more questions.  If you record the tally then the least fantastic get the highest fantastic rating and the most promising are dead.

Self-serving Selfless Service

That is confusing!  Maybe YOU can wrap your head around the possibility and even explain in the comments: how does the service benefit the one who serves?

In other news, ahhh, music.  Currently playing the newest Yemi Alade album for the first time, and she always delivers.  She is really super-good at her job, embodying and performing, making a success of productifying, the whole Mama Africa thing.  "Rebel Queen" is the album name, which in fact captures the mood with some women these days, this year, I think.

I got rhythm, I got music, ...I am happy.   You know what else is wonderful?  All the usual - food, the weather, finding nice games online for my phone/tablet, appreciating that the decades-old OLPC dream (One Laptop Per Child - and the $100 dollar laptop) is as of 2024/2025 practically a reality.

I'll be back soon ;-)

Groggy

It's 7:30ish in the morning, I've been awake since around midnight.  Now I feel like I'm the sleepiest I've ever been.  It was a wonderful night - it rained throughout and I got all my thinking done, lying in bed in the dark (or what 21st century people call dark which is not altogether dark, many-a-time.)  I got all that thinking done (about what - you ask - mostly domestic matters, i.e. my self and people close to me, real and imagined family, stuff like that.)  I laughed a few times, it was that productive.

Back soon.

The best rice

Like a white T-shirt, like a skeleton, the best rice is like a vehicle bearing gifts or at least bearing passengers.
It's Easter, and I'm feeling blessed to eat rice that has activities going on in every bite. Even just chunky onions are delight enough.

Jesus taught us to pray: "Give us this day our daily bread" rice, garri, and so on.  The right garri stands alone very well, in my opinion.  Don't put too many clothes on garri.  Or maybe do - milk, sugar, groundnut, ...
